ATIS LAKAY 00

When planted, the tree seed is nourished by and absorbs the nutrients from the ashes of your body which are contained inside. The urn itself is made from coconut shell and contains compacted peat and cellulose. The ashes are mixed with this, and the seed placed inside. You can even choose which type of tree you’d like to grow! Once your remains have been placed into the urn, it can be planted and then the seed germinates and begins to grow. You even have the choice to pick the type of plant you would like to become, depending on what kind of planting space you prefer. We now have the option of turning cemeteries into forests, which is a little bit less traditional but is far more practical. This could be a great way to help sustain the environment, contribute to the well-being of the ecosystem, and to know that the remains of your loved ones will live on through the beautiful expression of nature. So which would you prefer; leaving behind a tree or a tombstone? CLICK HERE TO READ MORE.

Sex with a humanoid robot will become common practice by 2025, even overtaking sex between humans, says futurologist Ian Pearson. His report on the future of sex has been published in partnership with Bondara, one of UK’s leading sex toy shops. By 2030 virtual sex will become as casual as browsing porn websites and by 2035 many will have toys that interact with virtual reality, according to the report. In fact, high-income groups could begin to use some forms of robot sex as early as 2025, before the practice overtakes sex between humans fully by 2050. Initially, people will find it difficult to adjust to this new sex activity but will eventually become used to it, just as they embraced porn, says Pearson. When the look and feel of robots improve, people’s opinion will also change, he added. “A lot of people will still have reservations about sex with robots at first but gradually as they get used to them, as the AI and mechanical behaviour and their feel improves, and they start to become friends with strong emotional bonds, that squeamishness will gradually evaporate, While some people will enthusiastically embrace relationship-free robot sex as soon as they can afford one, as early as 2025, it won’t have much chance of overtaking sex with humans overall until 2050.” said Pearson

Is there any pride left in being responsible for ourselves rather than depend on others to sustain us like parasites?

The dream is not so impossible when others have realized it before us. If there is one thing we don’t have to be ashamed to grab and emulate, it is the wonderful examples that spring around us every day.

No physical handicap should keep us from flying high; the role-models are numerous there as well.

Then, let’s get rid of the hang-ups that tie us and be the whole persons we were meant to be.

A black boy growing up in Queens – one would not have pegged John as a potential entrepreneur who would go on to become the CEO of the hip-hop clothing brand FUBU. But that he did, with an entrepreneurial instinct that he honed from his school days. Selling popular wool hats at half their market price, he mortgaged their house for future business expansion. It paid off well – and he now is one of the most influential motivational speakers in America.

10. Chris Gardner

Editorial 10

This is the man whose life has inspired the Will Smith-starrer ‘The Pursuit of Happyness’. Physically abused by his stepfather as a child and placed in a foster home, Gardner’s woes did not leave him even as he grew up to marry and be a father. As shown in the movie, Gardner struggled with homelessness while raising his kid. It was the strength of the lessons he learnt from his mother that he went from rags to riches by tenaciously building himself to be the CEO

There is no disadvantage these personalities did not suffer on their journey from birth to where they stand today – but sheer tenacity, confidence and hard work led them to the inspiring figures they are today.
